New Perekrestok supermarket opens in Yakutsk's Zvyozdny district
A new Perekrestok supermarket has opened in Yakutsk’s Zvyozdny microdistrict. The branch, part of the Pyatyorochka chain, is the 13th such store in the city. Residents had long requested a grocery shop in their neighbourhood before this opening. The supermarket is now serving customers at 9 Aleksandra Zakharchenko Street in Sector C. This area was developed by RIA, which set aside commercial spaces for local businesses. Alongside the new Perekrestok, the district already offers several grocery stores, pickup points, a hair salon, and a bakery.
The expansion follows plans to establish 40 Pyatyorochka outlets across Yakutsk. The latest addition addresses the needs of Zvyozdny residents, who had previously called for better access to food shopping.
The opening brings the total number of Pyatyorochka stores in Yakutsk to 13. More branches are expected as the chain works toward its target of 40 locations. The new supermarket adds to the growing number of services available in Zvyozdny.
