Lucinda Strafford's mother accused of running abusive Instagram trolling account
Lucinda Strafford’s mother, Nancy, has been accused of running an Instagram account that targeted her daughter’s Love Island co-stars with abusive messages. The claims surfaced after Nancy publicly defended Lucinda during Love Island All Stars, where the pair finished in fourth place with partner Sean Stone.
Lucinda holds the record as the first female contestant to appear in four versions of the Love Island franchise. The Instagram account, named 'Linda', allegedly sent cruel comments to former contestants Belle Hassan, Samie Elishi, and Jessy Potts. Some of the messages were described as potentially homophobic. An insider also claimed to have received inappropriate taunts from Nancy’s personal account.
The trolling reportedly continued as recently as two weeks ago. Nancy had previously spoken out against online bullies while Lucinda was competing on Love Island All Stars, where the couple reached the semi-finals before being eliminated. The allegations link Nancy to ongoing harassment of her daughter’s fellow contestants. If confirmed, the messages would contradict her earlier stance against cyberbullying. Lucinda remains the only woman to have competed in four separate Love Island series.
