Ed Reed Foundation's Fitness Day inspires Baltimore students with health and teamwork

Students at T. Booker Middle School in Baltimore took part in the Ed Reed Foundation’s annual Fitness Day. The event brought together former Ravens players, volunteers, and local sponsors to promote health and teamwork. Organisers aimed to inspire young people with lessons on fitness and life skills. The day featured activities focused on physical health, empowerment, and working together. Former Ravens safety Ed Reed attended, stressing the need to teach children about looking after their bodies early in life. He spoke about planting seeds of healthy habits that could last a lifetime.

Joining Reed was ex-Ravens linebacker Brian Hall, who also shared his support. Hall highlighted how exposure to positive role models can motivate students to aim higher. Both athletes agreed that introducing healthy lifestyles at a young age was crucial. The event relied on contributions from volunteers, partners, and sponsors. Among them were MURN Properties and CFG Bank, whose support helped make the day possible. Alongside fitness, students learned broader life skills designed to help them grow beyond the classroom.

The Fitness Day gave students hands-on experience in health, teamwork, and personal development. With backing from local businesses and former athletes, the event reinforced the importance of early education in wellness. Organisers hope the lessons will leave a lasting impact on the young participants.
