Local high school sports deliver wins and narrow losses this week

A shorter list of results from yesterday in high school spring sports with some postponements because of impending weather.

GIRLS GOLF-

North Linn hosted Starmont at the Three Elms Golf Course in Independence and fell to the Stars. Star sophomore Benelli Meyers and senior Breeze Neal both shot a 50 for medalist honors. Lynx senior Gretchyn Kane led the way for her squad with a 56.

BOYS GOLF-

Starmont defeated North Linn 152-161.

Independence beat CP-U 163-182.

GIRLS SOCCER-

West Delaware was shutout by Grinnell 1-0.
