Lindsay Lohan's father allegedly stabbed by wife in violent home attack
Michael Lohan Sr., the 66-year-old father of actress Lindsay Lohan, was allegedly attacked with a knife by his second wife, Kate Major, in April 2023. The incident left him with a bloody nose and led to Major’s arrest on assault charges, marking her eighth arrest in 15 years. Major, who has a prior conviction for assaulting a family member, was booked and given a $35,000 bond. Her arrest record includes multiple DUIs and other offences over the past decade and a half.
The attack came just weeks after Lohan Sr. underwent an angioplasty to clear a blocked artery. Doctors inserted a stent during the procedure, which followed symptoms of extreme fatigue and breathing difficulties. Two weeks later, while recovering at home, he collapsed while folding clothes and was rushed back to hospital. Lohan Sr. shares four children, including actress Lindsay Lohan, with his ex-wife Dina Lohan. Though his relationship with Lindsay has been strained over the years, the two have reportedly reconciled in recent times.
The alleged assault adds to Major’s lengthy legal history. Lohan Sr. remains under medical supervision following his heart procedure and subsequent hospitalisation. The case against Major is now progressing through the legal system.
