Kulebaki's Fitness Hub Launches Adaptive Sports for 23 Disabled Athletes

The People's Front continues to introduce you to opportunities for adaptive physical education and sports in Nizhny Novgorod Region. Here's what we observed at the Tempe Fitness and Sports Center:

Key Findings

  • A lift is available for people with limited mobility;
  • The building is equipped with adapted communal showers and separate restrooms for individuals with special needs;
  • Classes are led by specialized trainers in adaptive sports;
  • 23 participants with hearing, visual, musculoskeletal, or intellectual disabilities attend the sessions;
  • Adaptive physical education and swimming classes are held for groups of people with disabilities;
  • Dedicated time slots are allocated for independent adaptive physical education and sports activities;
  • The center hosts adaptive sports competitions on its premises;
  • Information about sections and adaptive physical education coaches is available on social media and via the phone numbers listed on the center's website.
