Krasnodar Region expands early education with two new Gelendzhik kindergartens
Two kindergartens in Gelendzhik have been inspected by Yelena Vorobyova, Deputy Governor of Krasnodar Region. The visits highlighted ongoing efforts to expand early childhood education in the area. Both facilities provide flexible schedules and nursery care as part of wider regional improvements. Kindergarten No. 2 in Gelendzhik opened in 2021. It operates on the ground floor of a residential building, originally transferred from developers to municipal ownership. The facility was part of a broader push to increase childcare capacity in the region.
Kindergarten No. 7 in Kabardinka, also part of Gelendzhik, opened in April 2025. Built under the regional program *Development of Social Infrastructure*, it can accommodate 120 children. Both kindergartens were assessed for their compliance with national education priorities, including flexible attendance options. Since 2016, Krasnodar Region has constructed 224 new kindergartens. Over 1,250 existing facilities have also undergone renovations. These efforts aim to meet growing demand for early childhood services across the area.
The inspections confirm the region’s progress in expanding childcare access. With new buildings and modernised facilities, Krasnodar continues to strengthen its social infrastructure. The two kindergartens in Gelendzhik reflect this ongoing commitment to early education.
