Frost is again forecast in Krasnodar Krai, this time on April 28 and 29.

According to the regional hydrometeorological center, nighttime and early morning temperatures on April 28 and 29 are expected to drop to between –1°C and –5°C in parts of Krasnodar Krai—excluding the Black Sea coast from Anapa to Magri, as well as Sochi and Sirius—with frost both in the air and on the ground, classified as a hazardous weather event.

Earlier, frost was also forecast for the night and morning of April 26 in parts of Kuban, with temperatures ranging from –1°C to –3°C in the air and on the ground.

The regional branch of Russia's Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) warns that ground frost poses a heightened risk of damage or loss to agricultural crops, including blossoms and fruit sets of stone and pome crops, as well as heat-loving plants. Experts advise taking protective measures for orchards and plantations. To shield plants from frost, they recommend covering them with plastic film, non-woven fabric (such as agrotextile), or straw.
