Krasnodar ends season with a 3–0 win and two national team call-ups

Krasnodar ends season with a 3–0 win and two national team call-ups

FC Krasnodar wrapped up their Russian Premier League campaign with a strong 3–0 win over Orenburg. The victory came in the 30th round, securing their position as runners-up in the final standings. Meanwhile, two of their players have earned call-ups to Russia’s national team for the upcoming summer training camp.

In their final league match, Krasnodar dominated Orenburg with goals from Kevin Lenini, Jhon Córdoba, and Eduard Spertsyan. Lenini opened the scoring in the 36th minute, followed by Córdoba in the 63rd and Spertsyan in the 88th. Despite the convincing win, Krasnodar finished second with 66 points, behind champions Zenit, who topped the table with 68. Lokomotiv claimed third place with 53 points.

On the international stage, Russia has announced a 32-man squad for their summer preparations. FC Krasnodar’s Nikita Krivtsov and Stanislav Agkatsev are among those selected. The team will kick off their schedule with an away fixture against Egypt on May 28 at Cairo’s Misr Stadium. They will then return home to face Burkina Faso in Volgograd on June 5, before travelling to Kaliningrad to take on Trinidad and Tobago on June 9.

Krasnodar’s season ended on a high note with a decisive victory and two players earning national team recognition. Russia’s upcoming friendlies will serve as key preparations ahead of their summer commitments. The matches against Egypt, Burkina Faso, and Trinidad and Tobago will test the squad before any further competitive action.
