Kostanay Region Invests 24.3 Billion Tenge to Modernize Heating Infrastructure

This year, Kostanay Region will allocate 24.3 billion tenge to upgrade its utility infrastructure. A significant portion—19.6 billion tenge—will fund 13 projects under the state program "Modernization of the Energy and Utilities Sectors." The bulk of the work will focus on heating systems, a critical area for ensuring reliable operation during the winter season.

In total, budget funds will finance the modernization of 4.06 kilometers of pipelines. Over half of the amount—2.7 billion tenge—will come from the national budget, with the remaining 2 billion tenge provided by regional funds.

The majority of the heating network upgrades will take place in the regional capital. According to Kostanay's akim (mayor) Marat Zhundubayev, this year will see four projects to reconstruct 3.3 kilometers of heating pipelines at a cost of 4.1 billion tenge.
