Koblenz region's outdoor pools open early as temperatures soar to 26°C

Outdoor swimming pools across the Koblenz region are set to open in early May. With warm weather forecast for the weekend, temperatures are expected to climb to 26°C. Several facilities will welcome visitors from the start of the month. The first pools to open on May 1 include Linz am Rhein, Andernach’s Pellenz Outdoor Pool, and Andernach’s Ons Schwemmbad. Koblenz’s Oberwerth Lido and Ransbach-Baumbach’s pool will also begin their season on the same day. Nassau follows suit, launching operations on the same date.

Vallendar Leisure Pool will start slightly later, opening its doors on May 2. Mendig’s Vulkanbad will be the last to begin, with its official opening scheduled for May 9. The early May openings mark the start of the outdoor swimming season in the region. With multiple pools available, residents and visitors will have several options for cooling off. The warm forecast suggests a busy start to the summer.
