The Subic Bay International Triathlon (SIT) is set to welcome a strong lineup of local and international athletes this weekend. The event, part of the Asia Triathlon Cup series, offers competitors a chance to earn world ranking points and gain international exposure.

The competition will feature elite, junior, and youth divisions, with races scheduled across Saturday and Sunday.

In the Elite category, the Philippines will field 11 athletes, including Dayshaun Ramos, Kim Andrew Remolino, and Matthew Justine Hermosa. They will be joined by Joshua Ramos, John Chicano, Juan Miguel Tayag, Christopher Adrian Te, John Wayne Ybanez, John Michael Lalimos, Irienold Reig Jr., and Renz Wynn Corbin. The men’s race will see tough competition from Japan’s Takuto Oshima and Kazakhstan’s Daryn Konysbayev, both leading contenders in the field.

The **women’s elite division** will include Filipino triathletes Samantha Corpuz, Dhana Victoria Seda Lomboy, Mikele Katerina Jopson, Nicole Del Rosario, Faith Raven Alcoseba, and Erika Burgos. They will face strong rivals in Japan’s Manami Hayashi and South Korea’s Hye Rim Jeong. On **Saturday**, the **Junior category** will take place, featuring Filipino athletes Darell Bada, Euan Andrew Ramos, Red Maoreen Reyes, Carron Cañas, Franco Pe, Giro Don Rafael Gito, Peter Sancho Del Rosario, David Piete Mora, Anisha Eunice Caluya, Christy Ann Perez, and Aira Danara Gregorio. The international field will be led by Kazakhstan’s Ramazan Ainegov (No. 728 in the world) and Alua Nurmuhamet (No. 638), who recently dominated the 2025 Asian Triathlon Youth and U15 Championships. Ainegov also secured fourth place in the 2026 Asian Beach Games. The **Elite category** races will follow on **Sunday**, marking the final day of competition.

The Subic Bay International Triathlon serves as a crucial platform for athletes aiming to improve their world rankings and gain experience on an international stage. With a mix of established competitors and rising talents, the event promises intense races across all divisions.
