LPI-NDH: Truck Skids on Icy Road—Recovery Vehicle Unable to Reach Crash Site

Icy road forces 11-hour closure after truck skids into ditch on State Road 1217

On Monday evening, authorities reported a traffic accident at around 9:15 p.m. on State Road 1217 between Lossa and Weihe. According to initial findings, the driver of a truck veered off the road due to icy conditions and came to a stop in a ditch. The trailer blocked the roadway, and the vehicle had to be recovered by a tow truck—which itself became stuck on the slippery surface. Road maintenance crews were called in to clear the ice, allowing the stranded truck to be assisted and the recovery vehicle to reach the scene.

The road remained fully closed until approximately 8:00 a.m. while the truck was being recovered.
