Habarovsk's Industrial District turns 90 with free community festivities in 2026

Habarovsk’s Industrial District will mark its 90th anniversary in 2026 with a day of free celebrations. The main event takes place on May 23 in Yury Gagarin Park, offering activities for all ages.

The festivities kick off at midday with a packed programme. Visitors can enjoy live performances, hands-on workshops, and game zones. Sports tournaments and competitions will also run throughout the day.

Families have already contributed to the celebrations by planting young trees along the district’s avenues. This effort forms part of the 'Give a Child a Tree' campaign, adding greenery to local streets. New themed murals now decorate the area, gifted by local officials to mark the occasion. Beyond the park, extra events include a concert on Rokossovsky Street square, expanding the reach of the anniversary activities.

The anniversary events will run without admission fees, ensuring everyone can take part. Activities are designed to appeal to both children and adults, from sports to creative workshops. The district’s 90th milestone will be celebrated with community involvement and public art.
