Natasha Howard's 26 points power Lynx past Sky in 85-75 win
The Minnesota Lynx secured an 85-75 victory over the Chicago Sky on Sunday. Natasha Howard led the way with 26 points, helping her team overcome 19 turnovers. The win came ahead of Minnesota’s next match at home against Atlanta on Wednesday. Howard dominated early, scoring 14 points in the second quarter alone. She made 10 of her 12 shots in the first half, pushing Minnesota to a 52-38 lead by halftime. Antonia Delaere added a three-pointer in the same period, extending the advantage to 34-24.
The Lynx maintained control in the third quarter, leading 68-58 before the final stretch. Kayla McBride then hit back-to-back three-pointers in the fourth, stretching the gap to 76-67. Azurá Stevens, making her season debut, contributed six points and a key block in the third.
Chicago fought back with Kamilla Cardoso scoring 17 points and Skylar Diggins adding 13, along with six rebounds and six assists. But Minnesota’s starting guards—Courtney Williams, Olivia Miles, and McBride—combined for 44 points, sealing the 10-point win. Both teams now prepare for midweek fixtures after a hard-fought contest.
