Florida woman arrested for kicking teen during youth football brawl

A 34-year-old woman from Fort Myers, Florida, has been arrested after allegedly kicking a teenage boy during a youth football game. Renee Lambert now faces child abuse charges, with a court date set for June 1. The incident was captured on video, showing her involved in a brawl on the field. The altercation took place at a local youth football match, where witnesses reported seeing Lambert kick the juvenile multiple times. Footage from Gulf Coast News showed her in the middle of the fight, striking a player who was already on the ground. The victim later told authorities that she had kicked him in the leg while he was down.

Police bodycam footage revealed Lambert arguing with officers and resisting arrest. After being taken into custody, she complained of a headache and was transferred to Lee Memorial Hospital for evaluation. The victim’s mother has since expressed her intention to pursue legal action against Lambert. Lambert is now charged with child abuse and resisting an officer without violence. Authorities confirmed the charges follow a review of witness statements and video evidence from the scene.

Lambert remains under investigation as her court appearance approaches. The case will proceed on June 1, where she will face the charges of child abuse and resisting arrest. The victim and his family are cooperating with the ongoing legal process.
