FanDuel names new CEO as Flutter adjusts financial targets for 2026

Flutter Entertainment has announced a leadership change at its US subsidiary, FanDuel. Christian Genetski, a long-serving executive, will take over as CEO after Amy Howe stepped down. The move comes as the company adjusts its financial outlook for the coming years. Amy Howe led FanDuel with a focus on responsible gaming before her departure. Her exit marks the end of a period in which the US division faced challenges, including a 26.1% drop in adjusted EBITDA compared to the previous year.

Christian Genetski, who joined FanDuel in 2015, will now head the company. He previously served as chief legal officer, bringing years of experience to the role. His appointment aligns with Flutter’s broader strategy as it revises its financial targets.

Flutter now expects group revenue of $18.3 billion by fiscal year 2026. Adjusted EBITDA is projected to reach $2.87 billion in the same period. The US market remains crucial, contributing 40.6% of total revenue in the first quarter alone.

Despite its revenue strength, Flutter’s stock has fallen by nearly 60% over the past year. The company is also exploring acquisitions, particularly in predictions technology, to expand its vertical integration. Genetski’s leadership at FanDuel begins as Flutter refines its growth plans. The updated financial guidance reflects both challenges and strategic shifts within the business. The US division’s performance will remain a key factor in the company’s future direction.
