Dima Bilan may invite young Kazakh namesake to his concert
Russian pop star Dima Bilan has hinted at inviting the young hero of a viral video from Ust-Kamenogorsk to his upcoming concert in Kazakhstan, Liter.kz reports.
Earlier, a video circulated on social media in which a woman off-camera asks a child his name. Without hesitation, the boy confidently replies, "Dima Bilan," sparking laughter from the video's author and users online.
It later turned out that the child is, in fact, the namesake of the singer behind the hit On the Shore of Heaven.
The story reached the Russian artist, who responded with humor:
"Why did you have to expose my son?"
Days later, Bilan announced autumn concerts in Astana and Almaty. Commenters quickly reacted, reminding him that he should meet his four-year-old namesake.
Bilan responded on Threads, asking his followers: "Should we invite little Dima Bilan to the concert in Kazakhstan?"
Fans enthusiastically backed the idea, expressing surprise that the invitation hadn't come sooner.
