Depeche Mode unveils a fresh concert video for public consumption
British electronic duo Depeche Mode is set to release a new concert film titled "Depeche Mode: M" this fall. The film, based on live performances during their world tour for the album of the same name, will be a unique blend of music and Mexican culture.
The "Depeche Mode: M" concert film captures Depeche Mode’s three sold-out shows at Mexico City’s Foro Sol Stadium during their 2023 Memento Mori tour. Directed by Mexican filmmaker Fernando Frías, the film not only showcases live performances but also explores Mexican cultural themes related to death and mortality, deeply connected to the band's recent album and tour titled Memento Mori.
Singer Dave Gahan praised the work of Fernando Frías de la Parra, calling it "truly wonderful." The film demonstrates the profound connection between music, impermanence, and Mexican tradition.
The "Depeche Mode: M" concert film will be shown in more than 2,500 cinemas in 60 countries as a limited theatrical event. Tickets go on sale starting September 17, 2025, via the official Depeche Mode M event website.
The film is set to be released in cinemas worldwide on October 28, 2025. The statement from Sony Music Entertainment describes the film as an intense musical and spiritual journey.
