Dallas Cowboys' Stadium to Host Nine 2026 World Cup Matches, Including Semifinal

The Dallas Cowboys’ stadium in Arlington, Texas, will host nine matches during the upcoming World Cup. Among them is a key semifinal on July 14. The venue, known for its retractable roof and massive video screen, will welcome top teams like Argentina and England.

The first game at the stadium takes place on June 14, with Japan facing the Netherlands. Located in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, the region has a football tradition beyond its American roots—it was also a host city during the 1994 World Cup.

The Cowboys had pushed for the final to be held here, but the stadium will instead stage a semifinal. Its modern features, including the giant hanging video board, make it one of the tournament’s standout venues.

With nine matches scheduled, the Arlington stadium will play a major role in this year’s competition. Fans will see high-profile teams compete under its roof, including Argentina and England. The venue’s World Cup run begins with Japan versus the Netherlands on June 14.
