Cardinals make MLB history with a perfect 5-0 Tuesday streak in 2026

The St. Louis Cardinals have made history this season with an unusual winning streak. So far in 2026, they have played five Tuesday games—and won every single one. No other Major League Baseball team has matched this perfect record on the same day of the week. The streak began on March 31st, when the Cardinals defeated the New York Mets. Their second Tuesday victory came on April 7th, a dramatic extra-inning comeback against the Washington Nationals.

A week later, on April 14th, Nathan Church delivered a walk-off sacrifice fly to beat the Cleveland Guardians in extra innings. The team’s next win came on April 21st, a 5-3 victory over the Miami Marlins, with strong pitching from Dustin May and key hits from Church. Most recently, on April 28th, the Cardinals overpowered the Pittsburgh Pirates 11-8. Early home runs from Victor Scott II and Nolan Gorman secured the win. With 20 more Tuesday games scheduled this season, the Cardinals will have plenty of chances to extend their unbeaten run. Their next test comes at home against the Milwaukee Brewers.

The Cardinals’ perfect Tuesday record stands alone in MLB this year. Their next opportunity to keep the streak alive arrives in their upcoming home game. If successful, they will continue to be the only team without a Tuesday loss in 2026.
