Between The Bridges partners with SumUp for seamless 2026 payments
Between The Bridges, a popular Thames-side events destination, has chosen SumUp as its official payment partner. The deal includes naming rights, renaming the venue Between The Bridges Powered by SumUp from the 2026 season. The partnership aims to streamline transactions for the site’s 50 independent traders using SumUp’s payment technology. The collaboration will see SumUp’s Solo card readers, point-of-sale systems, and QR code payment solutions installed across the venue. Every card payment, POS transaction, and QR code order will run on SumUp’s platform when the 2026 season opens on 30 April. The technology promises faster operations for small businesses, with quick setup, next-day payouts, and no fixed costs.
SumUp, which serves over four million merchants globally, has been expanding into large-scale venue partnerships. Recent deals include becoming the official payment processor for the O2. This latest agreement reinforces the company’s focus on supporting independent businesses and creative entrepreneurs, particularly in London’s South Bank. Marcus Weedon, Co-Founder and Director of Between The Bridges, highlighted his excitement for the 2026 season with SumUp on board. Pierre Lion, Global Director of Enterprise Sales at SumUp, added that the partnership aligns with the company’s mission to empower local traders and foster community growth.
The venue’s traders will benefit from SumUp’s payment infrastructure starting next April. The deal also strengthens SumUp’s presence in major event spaces while providing Between The Bridges with modern, efficient payment solutions. Both parties have emphasised the partnership’s role in supporting independent businesses at the heart of the South Bank.
