Bayer Modernizes Global Payments with Broadridge Swift Migration
Bayer AG has completed its migration to the Broadridge Swift Service Bureau (SSB). The project modernises the company’s global payment infrastructure while improving security and standardisation. Each year, Bayer handles over 4 million payment transactions across more than 80 banking partners worldwide.
The migration was carried out in two stages. Phase 1 focused on upgrading connectivity, while Phase 2 integrated Swift’s Transaction Screening Service (TSS). Teams from Bayer and Broadridge worked closely in an agile model, allowing for quick adjustments and smooth coordination.
Before going live, the system underwent rigorous testing. Message exchanges were validated with over 20 of Bayer’s banking partners. The new infrastructure now supports complex integrations, strict validation processes, and compliance with ISO 20022 standards. Broadridge provided a secure, scalable platform that meets Swift SCORE+ performance requirements. Marcel Bennemann, Project Manager at Bayer AG, noted that the upgrade strengthens the company’s global treasury operations. The successful launch introduces a more transparent, controlled, and compliant messaging system for Bayer’s financial activities.
The completed migration gives Bayer a modernised Swift messaging and connectivity framework. It enhances efficiency, security, and regulatory compliance across the company’s worldwide treasury functions. The new system is now fully operational, supporting Bayer’s extensive network of banking partners.
