Bad Salzungen's May Bonfire Lights Up the Night with Fireworks and Fun
The 18th Bad Salzungen May Bonfire brought families and visitors together on the Haadwiesen meadows. Held on the Friday after Ascension Day, the event featured music, food, and a grand fireworks finale despite an early rain shower. The evening began with a brief downpour, but skies soon cleared for the main attractions. A torchlight procession led the way to the bonfire, which was lit to cheers from the crowd. DJ Roland from RMD Music kept the energy high with a lively set throughout the night.
Children enjoyed bouncy castles and baking campfire bread, while the local fire department showcased its equipment. Many visitors stopped to inspect the vehicles and ask questions. The event wrapped up with a spectacular fireworks display, capping off the celebrations. After the festivities, the Bad Salzungen Fire Brigade Association thanked everyone involved. They acknowledged the support of visitors, volunteers, and emergency services for making the event a success.
