Marbella gears up for its biggest World Padel Soccer tournament yet

Marbella is set to host the World Padel Soccer tournament for the fifth consecutive year. Running from June 1 to June 3, the event will bring together over 30 former football stars at Club de Padel Los Granados. Organisers expect this year’s edition to be the biggest yet in terms of participants and scale. The tournament kicks off on June 1 with a pro-am competition. Group-stage matches follow on June 2, with the finals scheduled for June 3. Since its launch in Marbella in 2022, the event has grown steadily, attracting football legends, celebrity guests, and major sponsors.

Former Spain internationals Fernando Llorente, Javi Martinez, Ruben de la Red, and Albert Luque will join the competition. Other big names include David Silva, Frank de Boer, and Fernando Sanz. The event will also support a charity campaign for Daniela, a young girl battling multisystemic smooth muscle dysfunction syndrome.

Marbella Town Hall has backed the tournament for five years in a row. Mayor Angeles Munoz highlighted its role in connecting sport with tourism. The economic impact for the local area is estimated to exceed €2 million. This year’s World Padel Soccer tournament promises to be the largest edition so far. With top football stars, charity initiatives, and a significant boost to the local economy, the event reinforces Marbella’s reputation as a key destination for sports and tourism. The competition will run from June 1 to June 3 at Club de Padel Los Granados.
