Air Force's Dragon Corps Commences a Fresh Journey Skyward

I've got some crackin' news for y'all - I'm cookin' up a storm with my latest project, and you're bloody well gonna want a taste! It's called RAF Dragon Corps, a rip-roarin' alternative history novella that'll make ye glue yer eyes to the pages. Now, this here isn't your usual World War II yarn. No sirree! We've got dragons soaring alongside Spitfires in a thrilling reimagining of Britain's defense in the darkest hour of the war.
The story follows Jim Ashford, a plucky young bloke who defies his old man's royal navy expectations to join the elite RAF Dragon Corps. As he embarks on the brutal training program, he forges a powerful bond with Aether, a midnight-blue combat dragon. Together, they prepare for the looming war against Germany's terrifying dragon breeding program, where dragons are ruthlessly trained for combat and their riders know no mercy.
I came up with this brilliant idea during a chinwag with me missus about a WWII novel she was editing. She said it was good, but I reckoned it could be even better with dragons. And that thought just wouldn't leave my head.
RAF Dragon Corps holds a special place in me heart. I've always had a dream to join the Royal Air Force, and as a lad, I was dead set on becoming a pilot. Pity I'm legally blind, or I'd have been in that cockpit faster than a sparrow!
Through this story, I've been able to explore those childhood dreams in a whole new way, creating a world where humans form deep bonds with these magnificent creatures, battling it out against the backdrop of Britain's finest moment.
This tale weaves together military precision with the wild, untamed nature of dragons, exploring themes that have always captivated me - overcoming expectations, finding one's true calling, and forging trust in the toughest of circumstances.
I'm particularly chuffed with how the story honors the historical realities of the period while still providing a rich, fantastical experience. I'll be releasing chapters weekly on Patreon, and the entire story will be available to all patrons, including those on the free tier.
