Abandoned Pit Bull Mix and 12 Puppies Rescued in Harvey, Illinois

Two adult pit bull mix dogs and 12 newborn puppies were rescued in Harvey, Illinois, after their owner abandoned them. The animals were left behind when the owner moved away, leaving them without care or shelter.

The dogs were discovered in the 15400 block of Campbell Drive. Among them were a male and female adult pit bull mix, along with 12 puppies under a week old. Local authorities stepped in to ensure their safety.

All the rescued dogs are now at the South Suburban Humane Society. Staff are providing medical attention and care to the vulnerable puppies and adults. The organisation has confirmed that the dogs will be made available for adoption once they are ready.

The South Suburban Humane Society is now responsible for the dogs’ welfare. Those interested in adopting can contact the shelter for more details. The puppies and adults will remain in their care until suitable homes are found.
