A.J. Brown's potential trade to Patriots could reunite him with Mike Vrabel
Wide receiver A.J. Brown could soon leave the Philadelphia Eagles in a trade. The New England Patriots are the top contender to sign him this offseason. If the deal goes ahead, Brown would reunite with his former coach, Mike Vrabel, now leading the Patriots’ staff. Brown has been with the Eagles since 2022, with a contract running until 2029. Last season, he recorded 1,003 receiving yards but later expressed frustration over his limited role in the team’s offence. A trade after 1 June would also bring financial advantages for Philadelphia.
Before joining the Eagles, Brown played for the Tennessee Titans from 2019 to 2021 under Vrabel. Their previous partnership has fuelled speculation about a reunion in New England. NFL insider Adam Schefter recently reinforced this possibility, stating he expects Brown to join the Patriots. Away from football, Brown married Kelsey Riley on 16 May at Montage Laguna Beach. Former NFL cornerback Darius Slay, a close friend, attended the wedding as a groomsman.
The Patriots appear set to strengthen their offence with Brown’s arrival. His experience under Vrabel and proven performance could make him a key player for the upcoming season. The Eagles, meanwhile, stand to gain financial flexibility if the trade proceeds as planned.
