160 Community Projects to Revitalize Krasnoyarsk Krai in 2026

A new wave of community projects is set to transform small towns across Krasnoyarsk Krai. The 2026 grant programme, backed by major employers like SUEK, EuroChem, and SGK, will fund 160 social initiatives in the region. This year’s selection highlights a growing number of local efforts aimed at improving urban spaces and social infrastructure. Krasnoyarsk Krai leads the way with 18 winning projects, making it one of the most active regions in the programme. Past grants here have already delivered results, from bronze ground squirrel sculptures to environmental campaigns and a dedicated traffic safety town for children. The focus remains on projects that enhance daily life and community engagement.

Nazarovo stands out with 12 funded initiatives—three times more than last year. Among them are plans for cross-country skiing infrastructure and new volunteer programmes. The town’s first traffic safety town, designed to teach children road rules, has also received support. Borodino secured funding for five projects, including a family leisure space, a resource centre for social project design, and a theatre programme for children facing challenges. Meanwhile, in Dubinino, a new Senior Citizen Support Center is set to open, addressing the needs of older residents. Tatiana Zhuravleva, Director General of the Melnichenko Foundation, highlighted the strong sense of trust and responsibility among local initiative groups and company employees. The Grants.FM platform continues to serve as a key tool for supporting grassroots civic projects, particularly in smaller towns like Nazarovo, Borodino, and Sharypovo. For major employers such as SUEK-Krasnoyarsk and SGK, investing in urban and social infrastructure remains a strategic focus. These efforts aim to create more livable cities, helping to retain talent, attract young families, and strengthen the regional economy.

The 2026 grant programme will distribute financial support to 160 initiatives across the region. Projects range from cultural and educational programmes to infrastructure upgrades, all designed to improve local quality of life. With continued backing from key employers, these efforts are expected to bring lasting benefits to communities in Krasnoyarsk Krai.
