Sports Complex in Yakutsk Suspends Operations Due to Water Supply Cutoff

YAKUTIA.INFO. Training sessions and tenant activities at the Dokhsun sports complex in Yakutsk will be temporarily halted, according to an official notice from the Republican Center for Sports Reserve Training, a state budgetary institution of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). The suspension is linked to restrictions on cold water supply.

The cutoff was initiated by Vodokanal JSC due to "outstanding debts for cold water services." The measure follows a notification from the company dated March 20, 2026, as well as provisions under Clause 8, Part 3, Article 21 of Federal Law No. 416-FZ of December 7, 2011, "On Water Supply and Wastewater Disposal."

"Given the above, all tenant operations at the Dokhsun sports complex, located at 62/5 Lermontov Street, Yakutsk, must cease immediately upon the water supply restriction taking effect—specifically, from April 8, 2026," states the official notice signed by Alexander Bugayev, director of the Republican Center for Sports Reserve Training, and addressed to the complex's tenants.

The message emphasizes that tenants bear full responsibility for any potential consequences of failing to comply with sanitary regulations, including risks to public health, administrative fines, and operational suspensions.

"The complex will resume activities only after the restrictions are lifted by the utility provider," the center added.

According to Yakutia.Info, some coaches have already canceled training sessions as of today, while others continue to hold classes. However, with no water supply from April 8, the sports complex is expected to close temporarily.
