A Belarusian woman's determined trek for "lash extensions" during a raging cyclone has gone viral, racking up millions of views online.
On the evening of January 8, Cyclone Ulli swept into Belarus, bringing heavy snowfall—so intense that it set a record for winter precipitation. Beyond sparking acts of solidarity among Belarusians, the storm also inspired viral videos. One TikTok clip from Minsk, posted at the height of the blizzard, has already amassed over 4.6 million views. The video shows a young woman braving deep snow to reach her lash technician, The Mirror reports.
Captioned "What would you endure for perfect lashes?", the clip—filmed during the worst of the snowstorm—garnered over 4.6 million views in just three days.
The lash artist behind the video documents her client's snowy journey to the appointment. According to the technician, the parking lot near the business center was "completely buried, with no one clearing it—only the most determined clients made it through."
In the end, the woman arrived, and her perseverance earned her more than 500,000 likes and 3,000 comments, sparking a wave of memes and motivational quips:
