A major renovation of the park named after cosmonaut Vladimir Komarov has begun in Apsheronsk as part of the national project Infrastructure for Life, the press service of the Krasnodar Territory administration reports.
The 2.2-hectare park will undergo improvements, with 4,000 square meters set to be upgraded this year. Demolition work is already underway at the site. By the end of October, new pedestrian zones, a modern lighting system, a children's playground, sports facilities, small architectural features, and landscaping will be completed, said Denis Sorokaletov, Minister of Fuel, Energy, and Housing and Utilities of the Krasnodar Territory.
According to him, local residents voted in 2025 to prioritize the renovation of this public space. The park is located near the Apsheronsk Cultural Center, with a school and two kindergartens also situated in the same district.
Under the Infrastructure for Life national project, a total of 124 green spaces across the Krasnodar Territory will be revitalized in 2026.
