The Rolling Stones have confirmed the release of a new album through a series of billboards displayed in cities around the world. The record, the veteran rock band's 25th studio album, will be titled "Foreign Tongues" and is set for release in July this year, according to NME.

The billboards, placed in countries including Australia, France, Poland, and the United Kingdom, feature the phrase "foreign tongues" written in multiple languages.

Days earlier, the Rolling Stones—under the name The Cockroaches, a moniker previously used by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards' early band—released a new vinyl single, "Rough & Twisted," which includes the lyrics: Why don't you teach me / Teach me all those foreign tongues?

The follow-up to 2023's "Hackney Diamonds" will once again be produced by Andrew Watt. The Times reports that the Rolling Stones may not stop there: the group has already recorded at least ten additional songs for a future project.

For now, however, plans for any tour appear to be off the table. The band had been preparing for a European tour in 2026, which included a stop in Lisbon, but the tour was canceled due to "logistical issues."
