Julia Roberts and Danny Moder enjoy a rare night out in NYC
Julia Roberts made a rare appearance with longtime husband Danny Moder over the weekend in New York City. The 58-year-old Oscar-winning actress and 57-year-old cinematographer stepped out to see the Broadway show Proof, which stars Roberts' former co-stars Ayo Edebiri and Don Cheadle. Roberts kept warm in a textured black coat, which was cinched at her waist with a matching belt. Her strawberry-blonde locks were parted down the middle and fell to her shoulders in loose waves as she added a stylish pair of black sunglasses. The Stepmom star carried her belongings in a structured, green, crossbody bag. Meanwhile, Moder - whom Roberts wed in 2002 - wore a tan jacket and pale green pants. In early February the actress posted an Instagram snap locked in an embrace with her husband to mark his birthday, which was January 31. She wrote in the caption, 'My fav day. My fav man. #131 #WLF.' The longtime entertainer and her cinematographer spouse celebrated their 23rd wedding anniversary on July 4, 2025. Moder paid tribute to his wife on the special day, sharing a photo of their reflection in a silver spoon and writing, '23 years is SILVER.. here we are in my engraved SPOON! the fun continues... and a happy 4th to all.' The longtime couple share fraternal twins Hazel and Phinnaeus, 21, and son Henry, 18. Last spring, Moder marked Mother's Day by sharing an Instagram photo of Roberts and their brood, writing, 'Mothers make the coolest stuff. Love these guys.' And in June, the proud mom used social media to pay tribute to their youngest child on his birthday. She shared a throwback image from his childhood and added the note, 'In the blink of a joyful eye this beacon of a boy is 18. I love you Henry. #goldenboy #goldenbirthday.' Similarly, for the twins' birthday in November, she gushed, 'These game changers, life alterers, ❤️expanders once were 1 and now are 21! That was fast. Happy Birthday my Dears.' She opened up about parenthood in an interview with longtime friend George Clooney in September 2025. The veteran actors had a conversation published in the inaugural issue of 72 Magazine. Roberts got candid about raising her kids, describing herself and her husband as 'stricter parents' than others in their community. Asked if she limited her kids' internet access when they were growing up, the star said, 'I think they were, for sure, some of the last kids in their peer groups to get phones and stuff like that.'
