Russia launches nationwide labour survey to forecast workforce needs until 2033

A nationwide labour survey is underway in Russia, running until June 1, 2026. The initiative forms part of the country’s 'Human Resources' national project. Employers in Krasnodar Territory—and across Russia—can now help shape the forecast for future workforce needs. The survey aims to predict labour demand for 2027–2033. It is hosted on the digital platform of the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Labour (VNII Truda), managed by Russia’s Ministry of Labour. All organisations and individual entrepreneurs are eligible to take part.

Natalya Khudzhina, acting deputy minister of labour and social development for Krasnodar Territory, explained the survey’s purpose. Employers must register on the platform and fill out the required forms to contribute. During the survey period, free training courses are also available. These courses cover questionnaire completion, workforce forecasting, and the use of labour and education classifiers. Participants who finish the training can earn a certificate.

The survey provides a way for businesses to influence long-term workforce planning. Free training and certification add extra value for those taking part. The final forecast will guide economic and employment policies for the coming years.
