Primorsky Krai police crack down on unsafe passenger transport in Bus operation
Traffic police inspectors in Primorsky Krai conducted a preventive operation codenamed Bus, examining 78 vehicles used for regular passenger transport, the regional press service of Russia's Interior Ministry reported.
"Following the inspections, 13 administrative violation reports were filed against drivers. Additionally, one administrative case was opened against an official, and four against legal entities," the statement read.
The most common violations included operating buses without tachographs or mandatory technical inspections, as well as traffic rule infractions—particularly failing to yield to vehicles with right-of-way at intersections.
Authorities emphasized that passenger transport safety remains a top priority for the regional traffic police.
Earlier, a similar preventive raid targeting traffic violations by motorcyclists and moped riders was carried out in Primorsky Krai. Over 24 hours, traffic police officers from local Interior Ministry divisions identified and penalized 32 motorcyclists and moped riders for administrative offenses.
