Pop star Taylor Swift shares details about her upcoming 12th studio album, "The Life of a Showgirl," during a chat on Travis Kelce's podcast.
Taylor Swift, the globally acclaimed singer-songwriter, has announced her upcoming twelfth studio album titled "The Life of a Showgirl." The album is set to be released on October 3, 2025, via Republic Records.
The news was shared on the New Heights podcast, hosted by Swift's boyfriend, Travis Kelce, and his brother, Jason Kelce. The album was conceived during the European leg of Swift's 2024 Eras Tour.
"The Life of a Showgirl" will feature production by Swift herself, Max Martin, and Shellback. The tracklist includes 12 songs, with intriguing titles such as "Wi$h Li$t" and "CANCELLED!". Sabrina Carpenter is featured on the title track.
The album's cover art has been revealed, but was initially blurred in teasers. Pre-orders are now open, and the cover will be fully revealed at a later date.
Swift's previous album, "The Tortured Poets Department," was released more than a year ago. Since then, she has been working on her new project, which she has been developing in private with her partner, Kelce.
The couple, who met after a Kansas City Chiefs player named Travis made fun of Swift on a podcast following one of her Eras Tour concerts in July 2023, have been supporting each other in their respective careers. They have been seen together in various locations, including a photo taken in Sunrise, Florida, on June 12, 2022.
Swift has announced that she plans to attend Chiefs games to support her boyfriend. She is unfazed by potential criticism from other fans or family members of Chiefs players.
The couple continues to maintain a private relationship, but their bond is evident in interviews, such as the one Swift gave to TIME in December 2023, where she revealed that she and Kelce started talking right away after their exchange and grew close. They are proud of each other's achievements.
Swift's latest album, "The Life of a Showgirl," promises to be a captivating journey, and fans are eagerly awaiting its release. The album's announcement has been hinted at through various Easter eggs and confirmed in a podcast clip shared by the New Heights podcast in August 2025.
"The Life of a Showgirl" will be available in multiple formats including CD, cassette, and vinyl LP. The album is scheduled for release on October 3, 2025. Pre-orders are open now.
