Crimson Desert's Side Quests Often Include Optional Activities—But the Archery Duel Pushes Many Pywel Heroes to Their Limits. Here's a Simple Trick.
Why Is the Archery Duel So Hard?
Player Outsmarts Crimson Desert NPC with a Hilarious Carriage Trick
In the archery competition, players must hit randomly popping targets before their opponent lands a shot. Since there's no way to predict where the next target will appear, it usually takes a moment to line up the bow and fire. The NPC archer, however, seems to operate without this human reaction delay. Many players complain that they're left with no chance, repeatedly losing duels.
Reddit user Dingaligaling shares their theory: "Apparently, the system lag caused by Vsync and frame generation is the main reason NPCs are such crack shots. [...] The bots get a massive half-second (or more) advantage when aiming. That lets them hit the target the instant it appears, leaving players with zero time to aim and fire first."

What's the Trick?
In a short Reddit clip, HellDrivers2 demonstrates how to make archery duels noticeably easier—while also showing off a great sense of humor.
First, they casually take aim at the targets, draw the bow, and fire—all without superhuman reflexes. Their opponent, however, seems helpless. After a few seconds, the camera slowly pans to the right… revealing a carriage the player has parked right in front of their rival. Brilliant! See for yourself:
