The image shows the inside of a shopping mall with people walking around, some of them carrying bags. There are escalators, boards with text, plants, lights on the ceiling, and stores with name boards. At the bottom of the image, there is a watermark indicating that the mall has recently reopened after the coronavirus pandemic.

Pentecost holiday alters town services and facility schedules this week

Public services and facilities in the town will see changes over the Pentecost holiday. Several offices and waste services will close, while pools and museums adjust their opening times. Residents should plan ahead for delays and closures during this period. The town hall, job centre, and citizen service offices will all shut on Pentecost Monday. The driver’s licence authority and vehicle registration office will also remain closed that day. Waste collections face disruption, with the usual Monday pick-up moved to Tuesday, and all other collections delayed by one day.

The Bärenloch Waste Disposal Center and the waste-to-energy plant will close for the entire holiday. Meanwhile, the Klingenhalle Sports Pool will open on Pentecost Sunday from 6:30 AM to 1:00 PM but stay shut on Monday. The Vogelsang Family Pool, however, will welcome visitors on both days, operating from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM.

For culture and entertainment, the German Blade Museum will keep its doors open on Sunday and Monday, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The theater and concert box office, though, will remain closed on both public holidays. Tickets for events can still be bought online. Regular box office hours will return on Tuesday, May 26. Residents must adjust their routines due to the holiday schedule. Waste pick-ups will run a day late, and many administrative offices will reopen only after the long weekend. Pools and museums offer limited access, while online ticket sales remain available for theater and concert bookings.
