Paramount+ Hits 78.9M Subscribers After Record Q1 Growth in 2026
Paramount+ has reported strong growth in early 2026, with record-breaking viewership and rising revenues. The streaming service now boasts 78.9 million subscribers after adding 700,000 paid users in the first quarter. A surge in popularity for shows like Landman and The Madison has driven much of this success.
The first quarter of 2026 saw Paramount+ revenue climb by 17%, reaching over $1.97 billion. Direct-to-consumer income also rose by 11%, hitting $2.4 billion. While the platform gained nearly 2 million subscribers overall, it lost over 1 million international hard bundle users.
*Landman* became the most-watched series in Paramount+ history, with its second-season finale drawing huge audiences. The debuts of *The Madison* and *Marshals* also contributed to growth. *The Madison*, in particular, marked Taylor Sheridan’s strongest streaming launch, attracting 12.5 million global viewers in its first month and appealing strongly to female audiences. The platform has also expanded its content library. BET+ programming was successfully moved to Paramount+ ahead of a full integration planned for early summer. Additionally, Pluto TV will merge into the service later this year.
Paramount+ now stands at 78.9 million subscribers, up from 77.8 million at the end of 2025. The combination of hit shows, strategic content mergers, and rising revenue suggests continued momentum. Further growth is expected as Pluto TV and BET+ complete their integration in the coming months.
