Nuremberg crushes Schalke 3-0 in dominant second-division display

Nuremberg secured a comfortable 3-0 victory over Schalke in their latest second-division clash. The win confirmed their mid-table position for another season. Schalke, already crowned champions, failed to challenge their opponents effectively. The scoring began early when Schalke’s Ron Schallenberg put the ball into his own net in the 19th minute. The mistake gave Nuremberg an early lead.

Just before half-time, Henri Koudossou doubled the advantage. His goal in stoppage time put Schalke under further pressure.

Nuremberg extended their lead in the 72nd minute. Mohamed Ali Zoma finished off a precise pass from Becker to make it 3-0. The third goal came after a deflected free kick from Justvan earlier in the match had found its way into Schalke’s net.

Throughout the game, Schalke struggled to break down Nuremberg’s defence. Their attacks lacked threat, leaving them unable to respond. The final whistle confirmed a 3-0 defeat for Schalke, though their league title was already assured. Nuremberg’s win ensures they stay in the second division next season. The result also highlighted Schalke’s inability to match their opponents on the day.
