New Beaurivage clinic opens to ease New Brunswick's health-care waitlists

A new collaborative care clinic has opened in Beaurivage, N.B., marking another step in the province’s health-care expansion. The facility, funded by the Liberal government, will serve over 4,000 patients and reduce wait-list numbers. Three doctors have already joined the team to provide local care under one roof. The Beaurivage clinic is the 16th of its kind opened since April 2025. It follows a government commitment to improve access by setting up 30 such teams across New Brunswick by 2028. This year’s budget included $30 million to support more clinics like this one.

The province is providing $942,000 to the French-language health-care network for the new facility. The funding will cover overheads, renovations and staff recruitment. Premier Susan Holt has repeatedly emphasised the importance of local, team-based care. Over the next 12 to 18 months, the clinic’s health-care team expects to take on 1,000 additional patients from the provincial wait-list. The model brings together doctors, nurses and other professionals to work in the same location. Officials say this approach improves coordination and makes services more efficient.

The Beaurivage clinic adds to the growing number of collaborative care centres in the province. With ongoing funding and recruitment, the government aims to meet its 2028 target. The new facility will now begin accepting patients and expanding its services.
