Mumford & Sons stun fans with secret Apple anniversary gig at Battersea

Mumford & Sons played a surprise show in front of London's Battersea Power Station to celebrate Apple's 50th anniversary. The tech company's half-century birthday party came to the UK for a show that was introduced by Apple Music 1 host Dotty, in which Mumford & Sons aired both their biggest hits and newer cuts from their sixth studio album 'Prizefighter'. Nia Archives also performed a DJ set from the balcony of the iconic power station, which was transformed into a shopping centre that opened in 2021. 'I Will Wait' Mumford & Sons caught up with NME in November, in which frontman Marcus Mumford said he thought the new album "elevates" their sound. Mumford & Sons will also be performing at BST Hyde Park this summer, the first time they've headlined the London park festival since 2016. The War On Drugs will be joining them as special guests, with other acts including Holly Humberstone, Caamp, Divorce and Cliffords.
