Moscow's Schepkin students debut wartime drama in Nizhny Novgorod

Students from Moscow’s Schepkin Higher Theatre School will bring their production to Nizhny Novgorod for the first time. On May 5, they will stage We Won’t See Each Other Again at the Young Spectators’ Theatre. The performances are scheduled for 1:00 PM and 6:30 PM. The play is based on Konstantin Simonov’s novella and follows Vasily Lopatin, a war correspondent during the Great Patriotic War. His character faces the harsh realities of the front while staying true to his duty. Directed by Maria Finaeva-Nikolotova, the production carries a 16+ age rating.

The tour is organised under the Great Tours initiative, part of the Pushkin Card programme. This cultural project falls within the Family national programme, introduced by President Vladimir Putin. The double showing marks the Schepkin students’ debut at Nizhny Novgorod’s Young Spectators’ Theatre. Audiences will see the performance twice on May 5, with tickets available through the Pushkin Card system. The play continues the tradition of staging wartime stories for contemporary viewers.
