LIV Golf stars show uneven form in 2024's major championships

This year’s major tournaments have brought mixed results for high-profile LIV Golf players. With 16 majors held since the league’s launch, some stars have struggled to maintain consistency. Others, however, have still managed strong finishes.

At the Masters, Tyrrell Hatton secured a tie for third place. Meanwhile, Jon Rahm barely scraped through the cut before fading in the final rounds. Bryson DeChambeau, however, missed the cut entirely.

The PGA Championship saw further setbacks for LIV players. DeChambeau failed to qualify for the weekend again. Hatton also missed the cut, marking a sharp drop from his earlier performance. Rahm, though, bounced back to finish as runner-up. Since LIV Golf began, this was the 16th major championship played. The results highlight varying fortunes for its top competitors.

Rahm’s second-place finish at the PGA Championship stands out as the best result among LIV players in recent majors. Others, like Hatton and DeChambeau, have faced inconsistent performances. The next major will show whether this trend continues.
