Krasnodar's acrobats shine with five medals at international cup

Acrobats from Krasnodar Krai have claimed five medals at the Vladimir Gurgendize Cup. The team of 30 athletes competed against over 200 participants from eight countries. Their success further cements the region’s growing reputation in sports acrobatics. The competition saw Kuban’s athletes secure two gold, one silver, and two bronze medals. Sofiya Ivanova, Viktoria Maslyukhova, and Alexandra Medvedeva stood out, performing at the level of the world’s top-ranked acrobats. Their routines impressed judges and rivals alike.

Behind their achievements are coaches Irina Skryabina, Yekaterina Stroinova, and Denis Bliznyuk. Skryabina, the regional team’s head coach, has mentored generations of champions. The trio of trainers oversees a vast network of over 3,200 young athletes spread across 15 branches in the region. The main training hub is in Krasnodar, with strong programmes also running in Novorossiysk, Armavir, and other municipalities. This widespread structure ensures consistent development and high standards across the region.

The latest victories add to the Kuban School of Sports Acrobatics’ rising prestige. With a broad training system and experienced coaches, the region continues to produce medal-winning athletes. Their performance at the international event highlights the strength of Krasnodar Krai’s acrobatic talent.
