Knife-throwing experts lead high-stakes masterclass for veterans in Omsk

A knife-throwing masterclass took place in Omsk Yevgeny Shnaider, a Candidate Master of Sports and member of Russia’s national knife-throwing team, co-led the workshop. He was joined by Alexander Olman from Omsk. Together, they guided participants through various knife-throwing techniques and reviewed the official rules approved by the Russian Ministry of Sport.

Athletes from Altai and Khabarovsk Krais, as well as Irkutsk and Omsk Oblasts, attended the session. Many of them were veterans of Russia’s special military operation. Shnaider noted that such gatherings push athletes to train harder and aim for higher performance. The workshop focused on practical skills, with demonstrations of different throwing styles. Participants had the chance to refine their techniques under expert supervision.

The masterclass provided veterans and athletes with specialised training in knife-throwing. It also reinforced the official competition standards set by the Ministry of Sport. Organisers plan to hold similar events in the future to support skill development in the sport.
