Knicks Star Josh Hart Delivers 16 Pizzas to Madison Square Garden Mid-Game
A New York pizzeria made history by delivering 16 pizzas directly to Madison Square Garden during a Knicks game. The unusual order came from Knicks guard Josh Hart, who treated his teammates to a post-victory feast. The delivery marked the first time L'industrie Pizzeria sent pizzas to the famous arena. Hart’s love for L'industrie Pizzeria began long before the game. He had visited the Brooklyn shop multiple times and even reached out to the owners on Twitter in January, frustrated by long wait times. His request for a direct connection finally paid off on game night.
The delivery itself was no easy task. Co-owners Nick Baglivo and Massimo Laveglia compared it to a sprint, battling heavy traffic to reach the arena in just 30 minutes. The pizzas—including Margherita, New Yorker, Burrata, pepperoni, Fig Jam, and Tartufo—arrived with eight minutes left in the fourth quarter.
After the Knicks beat the Cleveland Cavaliers, Hart shared the pizzas with his teammates. He even joked with Karl-Anthony Towns, asking if he preferred the crust. Laveglia later called the whole experience a 'typical New York moment'. The pizzas reached the players fresh, despite the chaotic delivery. L'industrie Pizzeria gained attention for its first-ever Madison Square Garden run. For Hart and his teammates, the victory celebration came with a side of New York’s finest slices.
