Kazakhstan shines at Spain Open Taekwondo with four medals in Alicante

The Spain Open, an international World Taekwondo (WT) tournament, took place in Alicante, Spain, on April 18–19, as reported by our website, citing the Sports and Physical Culture Committee of Kazakhstan's Ministry of Tourism and Sports (MTS RK).

Kazakhstan's national team secured one gold, two silver, and one bronze medal in the competition.

Medalists: - Beibarys Kablan (+87 kg) - Damir Shulenov (74 kg) - Azim Niyazov (63 kg) - Nazym Makhmutova (73 kg)

The tournament drew 550 athletes from 66 countries.

Earlier, taekwondo athlete Aiyim Serikbayeva made history by winning Kazakhstan's first-ever gold at the Youth World Championships.
