June 2026's must-have 4K and Blu-ray releases revealed for collectors

June 2026's must-have 4K and Blu-ray releases revealed for collectors

Based on the latest retailer insights, we're bringing you an early preview of Plaion Pictures' June 2026 release slate. We've already covered several upcoming titles, including Sony Pictures Entertainment's UHD Blu-ray Steelbook edition of The Patriot (USA 2000), featuring Mel Gibson in two different cuts, as well as the 4K Steelbook of One Battle After Another (USA 2025) and Warner Home Video's fantasy series A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Complete First Season (USA 2026). Also on the horizon are the theatrical films Woodwalkers 2 (Germany 2026) and Richard Linklater's Nouvelle Vague (France/USA 2025).

The lineup includes additional new feature films. First up is Tyler Atkins' MMA drama Beast (Australia/USA 2026), starring Daniel MacPherson, Luke Hemsworth, and Russell Crowe, which will be released on Blu-ray and Ultra HD Blu-ray with German and English DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 tracks. Next is Pinocchio Unstrung (UK/USA 2026), a dark fairy-tale horror directed, written, and produced by Rhys Frake-Waterfield, arriving in standard HD and as a limited-edition UHD Blu-ray Steelcase.

Explosive Media is also making its German debut with two classics: Joseph Pevney's crime thriller Female on the Beach (USA 1955), starring Jeff Chandler and Joan Crawford, and Anthony Harvey's comedy They Might Be Giants (USA 1971), featuring George C. Scott and Joanne Woodward—both coming to Blu-ray. Additionally, a reissue of the 4K Steelbook for Edge of Tomorrow: Live. Die. Repeat. (USA/Canada 2014) will be available, along with Quentin Tarantino's newly remastered Jackie Brown (USA 1997) in 4K on Blu-ray (Keep Case) and a complete high-definition box set of the anime series Bloom Into You (Japan 2018; original title: Yagate Kimi ni Naru).
